In the third part of my Madeira travel photography series, I visit Pico Ruivo and the spectacular surrounding mountain range.
I ended up visiting this location several times on my trip – hoping to capture some unique conditions and some great photos.
A big part of landscape photography is being persistent and returning to the same location on multiple occasions.
In the video, I share this experience with you, including the highs and lows, which hopefully inspires you on your next trip.
On my visits, I focused on a specific area that had numerous twisted and characterful trees left over from wildfires.
But there’s so much more to do at Pico Ruivo – it’s a great location for hiking and generally being outside in nature.
I hope you enjoy watching the video – it would mean a lot if you could like and subscribe.
